HOW TO GET TO BASEL

We aim to organize a conference which is as environmentally sustainable as possible. We hope our members will share the same view. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to take the train. Of course, that’s not possible for everyone, so if you come by plane, we suggest you to buy a CO2-certificate here.

The most important venues are: Department of PathologyHolsteinerkeller and Aula Kollegiengebäude. You’ll get a conference booklet soon with all the necessary details!

by train

Basel has a French (SNCF), German (DB) and Swiss (SBB) train station and they are all nearby. Try all three options – you might have different prices available. Within Basel, see tram & bus connections here

by plane

There is an international airport nearby, it’s called EuroAirport (incl. easyjet). From there you have a direct bus connection to the city center, every 10 minutes, which lasts about 15 minutes.

by bike / on foot / by boat

From Amsterdam/Rotterdam head upstream along the Rhine – and you won’t miss Basel…
