Dear participants and guests of the conference, dear supporters, dear friends.

The UAEM Europe Conference 2014 is history, but its sound is still echoing in our ears.
We are very happy about the weekend and we received extremely positive feedback from different actors.

Again, we would like to say THANK YOU all for your attendance – It was a huge pleasure to see so much motivation and passion within UAEM Europe! And we are very grateful for all the fruitful input from our international guests. We sincerely hope that this event will only have been the beginning of continued collaboration and exchange.

Spread the word, get involved and let us build the bridge towards global access to medicines – NOW!

OC UAEM Conference 2014

Dear UAEMers, dear friends and supporters of UAEM,

We are very excited to announce our European Conference 2014, which will take place from April 25-27 in Basel, Switzerland.

The 2014 UAEM European Conference will convene graduate and undergraduate students in medicine, biomedical research, law and other fields from all over Europe. Under the slogan “we have a drug problem” we will discuss and work on various aspects of access to medicines and foster the way towards a more needs-driven and affordable medical research system: More research where it is desperately needed!

Universities have a critical role to play as their original goal is to provide knowledge for the public good. Therefore, UAEM strongly believes that our universities should be managed to meet the needs of the global society and to ensure that innovations are accessible also to low-income patients in developing countries.

We will offer a rich program with high-standing speakers, inspiring workshops, public panel discussions, an exclusive tour of the headquarters of Novartis, a guided tour in the Swiss Tropical Institute – and last but not least special guests (such as Bill the Pill) and a funky shake your pillbox party on Saturday evening. Have a closer look into the program!…and our newest merchandise product.

Help us to build up momentum for our movement and actions in Europe – and be part of the biggest event of UAEM Europe so far!

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Switzerland.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee,

Alain Amstutz
